10IPT: Prep for Thursday

Today, while some of us get ready to run and the rest of us athletically-challenged folk sit around idly, I am issuing you with some homework to prepare you for the group work you'll be doing tomorrow.
  1. Read "Will an IBM computer be your next mayor?" Analyse the situation in this article and outline the ways it is related to decision support.

  2. View the infographic embedded in the article, "Cisco Reminds Us Once Again How Big the Internet Is, and How Big It’s Getting". Outline three social and ethical issues that are raised by the article as a whole.

  3. Read "Jawbone Takes on Health Market With New Sensor Wristband". Explain how the UP device acts as a DSS.
