9IPT: Visual Display Hardware, cont.

Today is a continuation of yesterday's video lesson. No corny music this morning, I promise!
  1. Define displaying, and explain why displaying is such an important process in most systems.
  2. Describe the role of a "video card" or "display adapter".
  3. Identify the common features between all the display technologies that we looked at yesterday.
  4. Briefly outline the differences between CRTs, LCDs and plasma displays.
  5. Describe the different ways that TVs and cinemas are able to use a flat display to mimic stereoscopic three-dimensional effects.
  6. Two weeks to go. Get onto your group work! (P.S. Now is a good time to talk to some other groups and trade feedback on the good and bad features of your website designs - if you do it now, you'll have a decent amount of time to make any changes to improve your final submission.)
