The case study of today's lesson is one of those things that, eleven years on, actually seems quite ridiculous! But back then, it was a multi-billion dollar international issue. Following our classwork discussion, complete the following: tasks
  1. Outline the Y2K Bug and how it relates to the organising process.
  2. Identify some of the problems that analysts were anticipating due to the bug, and compare these with the problems that actually did occur on 1 January 2000.
  3. Describe the actions taken by governments and private organisations in preparation for Y2K.
  4. Discuss the social and ethical issues raised by the Y2K Bug.
