Hi class. Unfortunately I can't be with you for today's lesson, but today marks your first official HSC lesson! So without further ado, we're going to get stuck right into the course content.

Please answer the following questions in a new classwork post.
  1. As a review, identify and describe the five stages of the 'traditional' or 'structured' approach to system development.
  2. Explain the peculiar strengths associated with each of the four methods of system implementation.
  3. Last term we alluded to different approaches (or 'methodologies') for developing systems. Using the internet, research the following development approaches and contrast them with the traditional approach.
    • Outsourcing system development
    • Prototyping
    • Customisation of pre-existing system
    • Participant development
    • Agile development
That's all. Please complete this task before our first morning class on Thursday. See you then!
