9IPT: Collecting Hardware

Continue the table that was started during our class discussion, using the internet to research the list of devices below. Don't forget the three questions you are trying to answer each time:
  1. Describe the actual method that the device uses to collect data.
  2. Identify the data it is suited to collecting. (Don't forget to note the specific data type that is collected and how it may differ from the result we expect when using the device!)
  3. Identify examples of situations or places where this particular device  is commonplace.
  4. Outline the unique advantages this device has when compared to other hardware for collecting.
