The exam is coming real quick. To make sure we have time to complete a past paper on Friday during our double, we really need to get our skates on in this lesson. Off we go!  
  1. Outline the purpose of keys in a database. 
  2. Describe candidate keys, distinguishing between the different kinds. 
  3. Explain how keys relate to relationships within a relational database. 
  4. Define sorting keys. 
  5. Outline three examples of data that would be suitably represented in a relational database, and for each example identify instances of the three different kinds of relationships.
  6. Define a DBMS and compare/contrast it with pieces of processing software associated with other data types. 
  7. Outline the three views of a database provided by a DBMS. 
  8. Describe data dependence and independence, and explain when each may be preferred over the other. 
  9. Outline the three methods used by a DBMS to prevent incorrect changes from being made to a database.
