This is now officially a maths teacher's website. Since maths textbooks can make a habit of not providing answers for questions that request graphs, I've spent some time in Geometer's Sketchpad (an excellent program, by the way) and whipped up solutions for Exercises 17(d) in the Yellow Fitzpatrick textbook. There are quite a few images there, so beware if you're getting near your monthly download limit, but otherwise they're well worth the load-time and bandwidth (particularly for question 6, where you'll want to check the curvature of your graphs against the computer's rendition). To save yourself scrolling through the whole page, use the handy contents links at the top of the page to navigate directly to the question you want. P.S. Alternative titles to this post were Grapheriffic, Graphsome, Graphelicious and Graph-o-tastic. Let me know if you can come up with a better one... |
