IPT: Official stuff

Okay, so here are more files for you. Two of them have been on the site for a while, one is new, but I haven't really made a post about any of them - so here they are:
  • Preliminary IPT course outline. This very handy document describes all of the assessments included in the prelim course (that's terms 1-3 of year 9; the HSC course is term 4 of year 9 until term 3 of year 10), including every assessment's due date and the weighting it receives. If you're clever you'll keep referring to this throughout the year so you know what's going on and what's expected of you.
  • Solo Project assessment outline. We're really getting to the business end of this assessment task now! As of today you have 11 days to go - and many of you have fallen behind the schedule set out in your Gantt chart. I'm aware of how many assignments you have from other subjects; obviously, you should be working in such a way as to balance out all of your commitments and responsibilities. Just don't leave it till the last minute!
  • Solo Project marking rubric. I handed these out in hard copy yesterday. This is your golden ticket to knowing whether you are on the right track or not with your assignment - whether your work will get a thumbs up (Borat) or a thumbs down (Simon Cowell). The marking criteria for each individual component of the assessment task is included there, along with the mark assigned to it. Don't forget to include the rubric with your assignment when you hand everything in on March 30.
That's all for today. I also have another writing coming up soon, for those who are interested. Parts of it have already been circulating in hard copy over the last couple of weeks, but I'm going to be combining some things together and publishing them all in one go. It's sitting at just over 8000 words at the moment, but it will probably be closer to 9000 by the time it's done. Keep an eye out for it!
