10IPT: Network Topologies

Communications systems pre-suppose the idea of many devices connected to one another and able to pass messages back and forth. But there are lots of different ways to connect multiple devices together! Those different ways are the focus of today's lesson. 
  1. Define a node. 
  2. Define a topology, and distinguish between a network's logical and physical arrangement. 
  3. Describe the six primary network topologies, and briefly outline the advantages and disadvantages for each.
