Tomorrow is the last day of term 1.

Announcements feature

I have recently discussed the Mathematics faculty site with Mr. Woo. He has informed me that an announcements page is required, as Mr. Woodhouse makes weekly updates in the school newsletter regarding the maths faculty. I am still unsure where to put this, as the news feed box that Google Sites uses is unattractive, cluttered, and truncates almost all the contents of the post(s) being displayed.

Blacked-out numbers

Someone from my maths class has noted that in many past papers, the numbers are blacked out. This is probably the result of the PDF conversion, and I'll have a look (during the holidays) to see what can be done about it, as experimentation with Adobe Acrobat may be required.

Admittedly, I could simply take screenshots of the offending sections in Microsoft Word and crop the useful parts out and insert them as images, but this is highly inefficient usage of storage space, as the image would almost certainly need to be stored as raster graphics (bitmap) instead of vector graphics, which would certainly be much more suitable for mathematical diagrams.

More resources required

It has come to my attention that there are plenty more maths resources than those provided; I will need to hunt them down next term. I may also need to produce some documentation for how to operate the site, so that the handover to the maths faculty staff will be a smooth transition at the end of term 2, 2009.
