This is a backup for the design report, please do not touch

Today we had 3 periods of IPT work period dedicted to our website.
Ted made a logo so now we have to include a description of why the logo looks like it does right now. I'm not sure why it looks like this so we'll probably have to get Ted to write the description and what parts of our store or guiding principle it symbolises.
For Abour Us I want to include a few more paragraphs on system informations involved in our store so that it can fill the criteria of About Us.
Someone has to print of the Desgin Report but before that we have to edit it one last time and it doesn't really matter who does it as long as it gets done. I'll volunteer to edit it one last time but I'm not sure if I'm able to print it out. I think Jo might be or Ted.
We added a horizontal sidebar onto our website and it looks okay but there are no drop down menus so subpages cannot be displayed which is a pity but we have also left on the side the actual vertical sidebar with drop downs so that's okay.Another change made to our website is a question forum where customers can ask a question and submit it.

Two more days till our project is due. Two and a bit more. I've added more into Innovation of Technology and figured we needed guiding principles for for About Us also a description of the Logo. Jo's finishing off our Design Report and that's about it.

We're finally up to the stage where you call it 'adding final touches' hehe.

Basically most of our website is covered with a few exceptions.
The spreadsheet which i produced at ted's house did not contain some information such as the client details and order history as at that time we had not yet received our marking rubric. Just today i realised that rachel had modified it but did not include client details which i am currently doing now. Also the original unit cost price to sale price was 180% but now modified to 300% with the help of rachel's mother.
ted has yet to do the logo as he is at work.
The home page is looking fine (thanks to rachel) but we may ask ted later on to try and change it to our original idea of having a slideshow city scenery, much like the one shown on Jacqu-e. As i forgot to mention before, last week I tried changing the format and background of our website as the previous image and format was not entirely suitable. the new theme applied is terra ruby.
Today i am to help finish off the design report and business spreadsheet, as well as add on to news.

Today I'm going to edit business spreadsheet which Jo has done. Jo will also be doing the client detail. I think we'l'l be having the sale price 300% of our cost price as we are a high-class store and the number of each piece of clothing for every style is greatly reduced to a few.I have just finished the business spreadsheet and it looks very detailed :) Very proud of my work :P I've inserted  the total amount of each piece of clothing we have which is around 15 for every style. I've labelled each clothing with an Item No. off the top of my head and divided the clothes into a Winter and Summer Catalogue.

For our News Page I've also included a 1st anniversary which means that we've already established our website/clothing line for over a year. Also we have business partners such as David Jones. I chose David Jones because of their Vogue Fashion's Night Out event as it had it on their website.

I've also put up How we Innovate with Technology which was written by Samuel and edited by me:) I'll probably have him read it again to make sure I haven't put in anything weird. At first it looked very boring as it was just full of text but then I changed the layout to two columns again and put in images of fashion events or the latest trends to decorate it a bit so now its more colourful and people will more likely want to read it.

Our Home Page looks really simple but I think that's the effect I want for it. Most of our information is located under the other sections/subpages and should not be all crowded on the Home Page. I've checked this up with all the other well-known fashion lines such as Jacqui e, Portmans and Valleygirl and they all have very simple HomePage. I especially liked Forever New's Home Page and I wanted to Save the image but it wouldn't let me as it was adobe flash so I chose Forever 21's Secret Garden 2010 Collection. The colours were diverse and the clothing stood out. I was going to use Photoshop to put the three prettiest images together but my Laptop wouldn't let me open Photoshop and my home computer doesn't have it + no one helped :( so I just had to pt them side by side. The effect didn't look as bad as I thought it would. :) Lucky.

I'm not sure if I've written enough for About Us but if I add in anymore writing I'm sure no one would want to read it.

Now I have to continue with our Design Report. Thankyou to Samuel who started it I'm now editing and adding more details to each process from creating the Web.

Last night I edited well technically redid the whole News Page. Jo's posts were pretty good but the format was inconsistent and so it looked kind of messy and he details needed a little more so I wrote more in and still made the layout two simple columns. I'm proud to say I made it to 9 posts and now I'm out of ideas. But the page looks pretty good. Yay I made it to 16 posts. I'll continue that after I've started on the business spreadsheet.

And omg Ted seriously if you're not going to do Home Page tell us so someone can do it before this assignment is due. I think I'll just make this my goal today. Attempt a Home Page otherwise we won't have one. Alright it doesn't look the greatest but the pictures are really really pretty :) I think it'll do now.

YESYESYES I FINISHED THE CATALOGUE. I manually uploaded all the images AGAIN and the caption of its name and price AGAIN with EXTRA detailing of the clothing for example the matching bag or pant or jacket for the top and dress.

I found more pictures in Portmans but the computer is lagging so I'll have to go home then download then upload them onto our Website with their caption name and price. but the background is different to the one previously which is very dodgy looking. So now I have to wait till I get home.

I'm homee. so now I'm going to look for more pictures under portmans and upload onto our website

MANUALLLY damn. :(

Okay so I tried adding more images but after around 9 it wouldn't allow me to put anymore on. I tried for 10 times to insert an image but it still didn't. Then i figured it might be because part of the Google website restrictions not allowing any more storage to be made on that page. I wanted to create another page but then it would look inconsistent where one part of the clothing was on the wardrobe page and the other part would be on a subpage. I think I'll just leave it like that. It should be enough :)

Tonight I changed the content of every single page on our website except for home.
I put in profile pictures of our employees along with name age qualifications experience hobbies and favourite piece of clothing. I adjusted the page to having two simple columns so that the image was right next to its profile.

Then I changed our wardrobe as our slideshow looked weird when incorporated with our page so I manually uploaded all the pictures and added captions for name and price of clothing. Need to find more clothes an ask Mr Woo how to create another page so that the pictures could continue going. I changed the layout into three columsn so that it was spaced out but not too far.

Then I added more content to the VIP's and adjusted it into two columns as well so that the image was next to the text and changed the layout too.

Also the Style Notes slideshow was gotten rid of too as it moved too fast for people to read. So i put in the tabs and linked them individually to subpages which Mr Woo taught me how to do. I thin k I might need to put a bit of explaining underneath it
I need to decide on whether the writing wshould be in white or grey as white is sort of cliche and grey looks better but it might not stand out as much.
I'm going to change th layout of the News posts so that the font and colour are all consistent and looks neater and professional. Add more content ot it and maybe a few more better images.
Have to remember to take the business spreadsheet off Jo so that I can redo it in the same format as I changed the clothing style.

We received our marking rubric today and after we looked through it, we realised that:
  • we needed to expand in certain areas
  • certain criteria's we haven't even begun to meet
  • certain areas required much more detail and were worth much more than we expected
so basically what we need to do now is for me i would have to put up more news posts and explain events more thoroughly as this area is worth 12 marks. For careers, academic qualifications and business experience would need to be stated and added onto.

Rachel would b in charge of updating and expanding our catalogue and formatting our wardrobe. Ted is to complete our company logo and create an aesthetically appealing home page for our website. Samuel is currently working on the design report but all group members will help him later on.

The Business Spreadsheet is also another large area which needs covering.
Aside from all of that; you can say that JR'ST is well under-way (maybe). \

The hardest part would probably be getting everything finished in time and putting everything together in the end.
hopefully we wont do that badly

We need career profile pictures. We've decided that we're going to have the four of us in casual clothes - fashionable of course - and put ourselves next to the career biography.
Samuel will continue with the design report and I'll try help since I don't have that much stuff to do.
We'll all have to look at the business spreadsheet and edit it.
decorate the page and it look pretty AFTER we've all posted the content in and the pictures.
