Video data type is a combination of:
  • images-frames, many are played in quick succession imitating a continuous scene
  • audio samples
24 frames per second is industry standard

Video data is stored in:
  • analog e.g. film strip. This deteriorates over time with use. It has 4 parts to it. One with images/frames, one with sound waves(stereo), one with dolby surround and one with sony surround.
  • digital. This is an approximation of what is happening and requires special machines to read it. The file size of this is determined by adding together the size of both the audio and visual aspects.
